GB64 Recommended Games...

Atomix
graveyardjohn says: Assemble complex molecular structures by... shoving chemicals around in an odd shaped box until they hit solid objects, in a dangerously unscientific manner. GlaxoSmithkline wouldn't be impressed, but I certainly was.

Batman - The Movie
Neo-Rio says: Kerpow! Thwock! This Batman game is very playable, and a little tricky at first, but not when you know what to do. The music is also very good. You'll play this one for a while.

Stunt Car Racer
Matt Larsen says: This was the best 3D car racing game ever! When I drove off the stunt track I would actually get butterflys in my stomach waiting to hit bottom!

Enchanter
Steve says: sure thing this one is to include in my all-time-favourites. First one in the enchanter series by infocom, later followed by the even better "sorcerer" and the fantastic "spellbreaker". You, a novice enchanter, are sent to defeat an evil warlock bent on taking over the world.

Xybots
Neo-Rio says: Although largely a disappointment on the C64 (thanks to the Spectrum look and feel), the game is still somewhat fun. It's like Gauntlet in 3D, and once you get used to the controls - you may have a blast.

Mission Elevator
Neo-Rio says: Elevator Action this is not, but a rather spiffy action adventure game in similar style. Get to the top of the hotel and diffuse the bomb, collecting the code and emergency exit keys on the way up.

Scarabaeus
Neo-Rio says: A first person non-shooting game. This early game's tense horror atmosphere works because you are UNABLE to fight back! You have some weird puzzles to solve if the spiders don't scare you to death. Spare underwear not included.

Cavelon II
Neo-Rio says: Addictive! Somehow by collecting pieces of a broken door, you can use it to escape to the next level (what the...?). Get Excaliba and hunt your enemies on a duck! (didn't steal that idea from Jouste, did they?).

Journey to the Centre of the Earth, A
Neo-Rio says: A playable little platform game, as you try to get your little man down to the center of the Earth. No doubt you'll get a surprise when you get there!
