GB64 Recommended Games...

Wizball
Mayhem says: Once you get over the initial control foibles (which sadly put quite a few people off), there's a whole new world out there just waiting to be coloured up. Cunning, ruthless and fun, if a bit easy. Gameplay ideas were second to none however.

$100,000 Pyramid, The
J2003C says: This is a pretty lame game that only has appeal on TV because of the celebrities that play. There are no celbrities here, so there is little appeal. If you love fast word association games, then you might like this one... maybe!

Master of the Lamps
graveyardjohn says: 3D on the Commodore? Well, sort of. Fly through the hoops and reach the genie, before doing it again. Great fun in short bursts.

Starglider
Neo-Rio says: This is like Stellar 7 with wings. You'll get to blast lots of things in wonderful wireframe 3D, and control TV guided missiles! May help to learn the controls though...

Scarabaeus
Neo-Rio says: A first person non-shooting game. This early game's tense horror atmosphere works because you are UNABLE to fight back! You have some weird puzzles to solve if the spiders don't scare you to death. Spare underwear not included.

Bubble Bobble
Mayhem says: The best conversion on the C64, and a hugely impressive game in its own right. Best of all, the action is just as addictive when playing alone as with a friend. A game that warrants and definitely got continual repeated play over the years.

Snackman
Neo-Rio says: Cheerful little pacman clone. As playable and as fun as the orginal, with a bunch of different and varied mazes.

Harvey Headbanger
graveyardjohn says: To win this game, you need to run rings around your opponent, quite literally! Enclose a group of blocks of your opponents colour within your own by swinging around them, and they turn into cocktails. The more you get, the higher your energy. Of course, your opponent is trying to do the same thing. Quick thinking is required here!

Labyrinth
graveyardjohn says: Labyrinth is arguably one of the best of the film-to-game licences, following your character through well represented scenes from the film. If you liked the film, and love adventures, you'll like this!
