Skate or Die!
J2003C says: I used to play this just for the awsome intro music. What can you say about 5 fantastic events, 1-8P modes, violence, punkers, racing, rock & roll... woo hoo! This game kicks ass!

Druid
J2003C says: This game is very fun and actually finishable without cheating. Better than Gauntlet, but only 1-2P. Golem controls for 1P are hard, but still fun. Chosing the right weapons and collecting the right treasures take experience and trial-and-error.

River Raid
Neo-Rio says: If there was one game worth playing on the Atari 2600 even today, it would be this game. Fortunately, there is a C64 version of the ever so playable shoot'em up, and this is it.

Go for the Gold!
graveyardjohn says: Slightly different from Summer/World Games, and great fun with a friend. Includes archery, weightlifting, and to be a bit different - diving.
|
ThunderCats - The Lost Eye of Thundera
Neo-Rio says: I can't say I liked the cartoon that much, but this game is quite fun and a bit frustrating. I dunno how this cartoon's theme tune found its way into "Bomb Jack II" though - that was just weird.

Galax-i-Birds
Neo-Rio says: A simple game plagued by crazy-sprite-o-rama. Yep, it's that oldskool game design technique where every new level gives you something weird to shoot at. Fortunately the music is fun and randomly generated. Jeff Minter would be proud.

Super Cars
Neo-Rio says: Even MORE great overhead racing games! This one is loads of fun too!
|
Pitstop II
Neo-Rio says: Anyone who was anyone with a Commodore 64 had this game back in the day. Probably the first implementation of head-to-head displays on a computer game. Classic two player race duelling!
|
Master of Magic, The
Neo-Rio says: A simple RPG game, which slowly becomes an addiction as you try to get the amulet to return to your own world. Complete with a Rob Hubbard soundtrack.
