Hello all,

I have been working an a nice gamebase for this console!

Great progress ...only one major issue here

I have done about 180 games using the full version of
Magicengine(great emu) but suddenly......

It did work as a full version from within gamebase and
for no reason at all it swithed to demo version.

This only from within gamebase,if i run it from it's location without
gamebase it is still the full version.

Please can someone help me with this strange bug????

I don't want to take screenshots with ""demo version"" on it... :?

I hope this can be cleared somehow.....

regards

Sjakie

If you're still out there, I'd like to help. There are some great sites out there with PCE info, screenshots, box scans, etc.

Welcome back!

What kinds of things do you need for the database? I recently found several excellent websites with PCE/Turbografx-16 information, including screenshots, etc.

Presently, I have every PCE ROM and several CD/ISOs.

Also, J2003C is working on script for the Magic Engine emulator to directly boot CD games from Game Base.

maybe you can send me a text-list of the roms you have over there.
And a seperate list of the CD isos would be very welcome.

it's a shame that my pc crashed you know,
i have lost all progress for the gamebase vic20 (v2).

I downloaded a bittorrent with every ROM for PCE, including alternate versions, hacks, etc.

Do you want to include all of them in the database? Is so, it will take me a while to compile a list.

For screenshots, may we use screenshots found at various websites or do we need to create our own for the database? Likewise with music.

Hi all,

First i've added about 400 entries(roms).
Now i will add screenshots,2 per game(ingame and title).
So that will keep me busy for a few days.

I have to work also eh?

Gentlegamer>maybe you can collect box scans or cart scans if there are any?

Music will be added also( soon).

When i get the list with cd games(and rom list)from Gentlegamer i will add'em also.

I have to sleep now.......

I've started a database of the PCE ROMs I have . . . I'm on G. I'm only including the regular versions, just languages (Japanese or English, though there are some hacks in other languages), not different dumps, alternates, and so on.

I also have game sound files for many of the roms in .pce format, which can be played by yame (and probably HuGo). Renaming the files to .hes allows them to be played in Winamp (with a plug-in).

I'll start researching the web for box scans, etc.

I've completed my database of the PCE ROMs I have. It is in Mircosoft Access format.

As you know, I've been looking for box scans.

Perhaps we need to start some kind of shared/central database to list everything we have: ROMs, Screenshots, Sound Files, Box Scans, and info for each game (publisher, etc.) so that we can see what specific info or files need to be gathered for the database.

Hi,

can you send me the list to my hotmail?

I have contacted bt Garner, asking him about the watermarked pics.

this is his reply:
For obvious reasons, if this is tied to EMU, I need to decline...not
that I am personally against such things, but from a legal perspective,
I need to steer PCECP away from potential lawsuits (though I will be
the first to admit that the possibility is minute).

so that's no good at the moment.

hi all,

About 430 screenshots added at the moment........
have to check the cover scans that i have downloaded.

I was thinking.....

About the CD versions, they are quite big with an average of
400mb per game ,is there a way to automatic decompact and compact the directory content of a CDgame?
