Well that is really sad news! The trouble is, this is the real world, and people are pigs!
But if you think about it, there are also very good people out there, who really are very grateful for all the work you do and have done in the past.
It is a pity that you cannot be selective over who gets your updates and who doesn't.
I haven't known you for more than a few days, and yet I will always respect the work you have done, and thank you for the help you have given me, and hope you can find a way to continue! :(

Hi Loïc,
you will always have friends here, and are a well respected member of the Gamebase community.

Thanks for making your games available for all of us.
and all the hard work you put into the gamebase.
even if you keep it private from now on, just keep doing it.

Please don't let a miserable few, spoil your enjoyment of collecting CPC64.
lifes too short to be upset by idiots.

Thanks again.
Much love and respect.

I'm sad to hear that, I never used a cpc back in the day but your database has made it easily accessible to me and many more.

I enjoy (and will continue to enjoy) your labour of love - it's something you should be very proud of, bravo!

Sorry to hear this ldaneels.

I dreamt of owning a CPC while working in the tomato fields through summers in the '80s. I never quite got enough money together. But with your work I knew I would one day be able to experience the CPC catalog when time would allow. I am still looking fof that time, but your work was interesting to follow none the less. So in leiu of being able to thank you on that distant day, please understand that your effort was appreciated.

Thanks for all the kind comments, it really goes a long way.
For those interested, I will still continue to offer dumps from my originals to the community (http://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=lastupdate).
I will also continue developping the project in private & might release it at a later time (not in the foreseeable future, though).
In the meantime, enjoy what is available & keep the spirit alive...

Loïc DANEELS has released Amstrad CPC GameBase v33 (30 GB)
https://www.cpc-power.com/gamebasecpc/i ... ?page=full
GBCPC

* The goal of this project is to catalogue every original CPC software. By that I mean that I am only making entries for originals I own & are complete (with very few exceptions). I also include PD / Freeware / Prototype / Utilities / Hardware to the database.

They are two completly different GameBases.

Amastrad Mania - Mark (Sparky) Hardman.
contains a selection of everything.
Original disk & tape dumps, hacks, cracks and trainers, homebrew, PD.
Cover scans for most original games.

Amstrad CPC - Loïc DANEELS
This ONLY contains originals, that have been dumped from his own personal collection.
If he doesn't own it, it's not in the GB.
The size is so large due to the HI-RES scans of boxes and disk images.
