Thanks man!
A last question: I have recovered almost all the needed ROMs from the MAME 0.143 set utilizying ClearMAME with the Winkawaks 1.62 dat and the rebuilder option. But I have used the non-merged flag, so now I have a TON of similar files.
Must I use the merged format or it's right so?

it's up to you,
i use a non merged set myself.

But a merged set works just as well, if you have 100% of the roms.
and uses 3GB less HD space.

Hello!
I have left about 4 GB in merged format !
However many ROMs were missed on the above pack ... luckly I have found all the needed ROMs in a newsgroup, so the complete merged set is now 4.623 GB and count 233 ROMs.
Thanks for all!

Richard.

Hi!
A lot of ROMs are not present in the list of the NeoGeo Gamebase, but they can be loaded and played from Winkawaks menu (like Zupapa or Bustamove, for example). Are they malfunctioning games? There is a gamebase ready for all the 1.62 ROMSET?

420's gamebase is for AES (home console) version of the roms.
so i can only guess puzzle bobble was an Arcade only game.
Magical Drop is in the list, Which is very similar.

the other gamebase version you have has ALL Neo Games that Winkawaks has and more, but you can't play them all from the gamebase menu yet.

As you know, Winkawaks is a front end, just like Gamebase.
But we are only using it as the emulator.
That's why you noticed missing games from the list.

So I can use directly the menu of the Winkawaks in order to play the other ROMs, right?

What are the most important differences between arcade and home version of the same game?

right!,

Insert Coin or Press Fire to start.

maybe the difficulty level is higher, so you spend more money. :P
and data encryption.

But the hardware is pretty much the same.

Correct. Puzzle Bobble (aka: Bust-a-Move) was never released for the NeoGeo AES. The only way to play it at home is on the 3DO, Game Gear, or SNES, or to get the arcade (MVS) cartridge and a MVS-to-AES adapter. As .mad. says...my gamebase is for AES (home console) versions only.
