A pleasure and a huge thanks to KC for explaining the bits I could not work out.mad. wrote:Paul and KC

Thank Sjakie43 and .Mad for their work on compiling the excellent database, me and KC had nothing to do with that. We just made Hoxs64's C64 script work with individual files which is so much easier...davo wrote:Paul, KC, thanks for your time on this.
Demos deserve their own GB as they exemplify the spirit in which the C64 inhabited many of our lives: it was a platform for experimentation and discovery. I have never coded a demo, and I only dabble in machine code, but I love to read about the techniques and watch the results. You guys have made that much easier to do. Thankyou. I have bookmarked it on UG and will download it this weekend.
Key=value pairs are stored in the Games table. You can find them in the field Gemus.Paul Irvine wrote:Problem is I can't see where the pairs data is stored in the database, it would have been dead easy to just copy the image index field into the pairs field and manually added hoxsnum= to it..
I actually started to write a post about the location of the gemus field after getting a different mdb reader but realised as I was writing it the whole thing was pointless because the values in the hoxsnum would be different than the previous values they had used..K.C. wrote:Key=value pairs are stored in the Games table. But it isn't needed to do this, because almost all (if not all) demos will work with the new Gemus script without any further modification.
What emulator are you using when this happens?oknihcap wrote:I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here, but no matter what demo I click on, I get this:
Invalid File referenced in script function
Do you want to continue running the game anyway?
Any idea what could be causing this?
