| Any chance you could post a direct link to the gamebase files here in the meantime? I don't want to sound greedy/impatient though, I just want it! |

Tee-Hee, easier said than done for a site produced with Frontpage Trig.
Damn MS Frontpage, it is so Flakey!
Try again now anyway, it should be fixed. I've taken off some of the fancy nav buttons too (now side-bar is plain hyperlink text) so if the gremlins strike again, we would still be able to navigate. |

Oh boy, how did I do that?
Sorry Paul, I have not a clue how I managed to include your email address under my name...
...errr, well maybe in my haste to get the website up I pasted that line in from your website & forgot to change the hyperlink- Doh! That'll teach me.
The correction/s have been made already on the website. Please feel free to forward any mail sent in error.
For anyone else out there confused, just to clarify: you can contact me at daveee65@lostinconsoles.com
Thanks for the words of encouragement btw Paul, though I have to say; observing how you adapted the GB64 interface to suit the presentation of ZX & ST games in your own databases was an inspiration to my own - very good work indeed! |

In reference to Bison and Vega's name being reversed, You are playing the Japanese version of Street Fighter. Here is a list below.
American Japanese
Bison Vega
Vega Balrog
Balrog Bison
The game was originally created in Japan. Its the Americans that changed the names of the bosses. They figured Vega sounded spanish, and Bison would be a better name for Vega, and Balrog would be a better name for Bison. Verify this with the Japanese Street Fighers for Japan in MAME.
Good Luck. _________________ Emudude,

It works perfectly with that. |

Yeah, f1 roc 2 has been working for a while in Zsnes and snes9x, both included the fix in July 04 in fact.
It the problem had been with a custom Seta chip, which needed a special work-around. |

| Hardmanm, thanks for posting this - I've been looking for a snes gamebase. But I'm having trouble with my roms. I always have trouble getting roms named correctly, and I can never seem to get clrmamepro to work for me. If the gamebase doesn't come with the games, I'm in trouble. I have the SNES Goodset, which I extracted to a folder, started clrmamepro, pointed it to the dat file you posted, set the rom path for the folder holding the roms, and started the scan. It said I had no correct roms, and after allowing it to rename everything, it left me with only 200+ roms named correctly, and then everything else was deleted ( I have backups, so it's okay), and these weren't even zipped properly for gamebase to run. I tried it on a different random set of SNES roms, and this time, it said the same thing, and deleted ALL the roms, and didn't even fix 1 of them. So how do I get my roms named properly? And how do they end up zipped? I can't possibly go through 900+ roms and zip each one manually - that doesn't make any sense. Can anybody help me out? |

If my memory serves me well, im sure i used the nointro snes collection for the games, using their naming sceme. You can use Winrar to zip up a large collection of roms into seperate zip files with the right options ticked. I wish i could upload the games for you, put its to big, plus nintendo wont be to happy. _________________ Gamebase Developer of:
