Trouble Starting Emulator Setup Wizard in GameBase v1.3

Sat Jan 15, 2011 12:45 am

I just got the newly released full v1.3 of the GameBase! WOOOO! :D I had been using various beta releases of it, but never the full version until now! AND I've gotten the Deluxe Edition to start again with! So I'm a little stoked about all that hehehehe

But right now as I re-setup my v7 of the GameBase64 Collection, I notice that the Deluxe Edition has more emus than the regular version had. But when I go to run the Emulator Setup Wizard, I get the following error:

that would be my fault.
looks like i deleted the original script.

it is looking for "WinVICE-v22.txt" in your scripts folder.

goto your scripts folder make a copy of WinVice.txt.
and rename it.

or edit the gemus.dat file and change all the WinVice-22.txt entries with WinVICE.txt

Thanks for letting me know.
The deluxe version link has been updated.

Ah! Thank you!

So I made a copy of that and then renamed that copy. So now I have the two files along with the other files in there. Err, is that correct?

I notice that I have TWO 'Script' folders in my GameBase installation folder. I think that maybe one or both of them have one or more excess, unnecessary files in it/them.

Can you help me clean out the mess? It's probably not much of a mess anyway....

Here are the two folders open. Of course you can see the pathnames....

delete the folder Gamebase/Scripts

and keep Gamebase/GBC_v07/scripts

every gamebase uses it's own folder and scripts.
