Does anybody know an easy way to find out if we have any Files in our gbc_v05 Directories that the gbc database does not use (undedected because of wrong filename or wrong location) ?
Wrong location could happen easily because of some weird filename-choices like:
c1\DRCREEP_01303_01.zip 1303 Castles of Doctor Creep, The
c1\XMASEVE1_11386_01.zip 11386 Christmas Eve
c1\YEAGER_01473_01.zip 1473 Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer
c2\AMY0_10121_01.zip 10121 Conquest of Amy's Holes, The
My current solution to this is to filter my games by starting letter, see how many I got and compare it to the number of files in the Dir. (but this way I still have to handsearch which ones aren't properly dedected.)

How to locate Gamebase undedected games in Directory?

The best you can do is try to get the DVD image of GB64 V05.
When downloaded, you will have all 20000 games in the right folders and lots of originals and extras, like adverts, cover scans etc.
You can download the images from emule, search for gb64 v05.

thanks for the hints!
Anyway, I don't even want to have the whole gb_v05 because I prefer to pick just games I like and classics and some other interesting looking games.
For example: I don't want to have 500 different versions of Boulder Dash in my collection.
Just my take on it. I appreciate of course the hard work that went into gb and the completeness of it for those who want to have it all So I take the great setup of gb_v05 and use it's database with less games.
I also don't like emule, edonkey and that whole mess. I prefer torrents and ftp I never had much luck with emule clients finding stuff and they were always so slow.
cheers!
