Installation Problems

Sun Sep 09, 2007 7:44 pm

Hi

Unfortunately I could not find any information on how
to install gamebase64 and I haven't managed to
install it and make it work.

I use Windows Vista and
have done the following steps:
(1) front-end 1.2
(2) database 0.5
(3) run time lib (vbrun60)

I had previously installed winvice and I have
some correct roms at hand.

When I start gb64 I get the following message:
"There are no Game Base folders to choose from!
Please use the GameBase Toolbox to create a new GameBase"

I have no idea how to use the Game Base Toolbox.
Could someone please give me some instructions?

Seems like you installed the database v05 to the wrong folder.
It must be in the folder GBC_v05 located in your GameBase 1.2 folder.

Thanks!
Now it starts but I haven't managed to make it recognize the roms.

I have the correct gamebase64 roms (0.5) zipped and
separated in subdirectories for each letter.

I did:

(1) Tools->Path
(2) Create path pointing to a directory containing
zipped roms and I click OK
(3) Verify Available Roms

No roms were found.

What should I do?
