3 extras not verifying?

Tue Sep 04, 2007 11:14 pm

the details say:

Tuesday 04 September 2007 19:06:43
C:\Program Files\GameBase\GBC_v05\GBC_v05.mdb

Extras not found: 3/20562
d:\Gamebase 64\Extras\

7705 Original Disk Disks\S\Schatzjäger.zip 6604 Schatzjäger
7160 Anleitung Docs\S\Spukschloß_Das.jpg 7259 Spukschloß, Das
7159 Cover Cover\S\Spukschloß_Das.jpg 7259 Spukschloß, Das

I am pretty sure I have all 3 files. Is there a reason they will not verify?
Thanks!!!

It's because you've extracted the files with winrar from a disc image (not the way to do it!)...either burn the image to a disc, mount it with daemon or extract the files using 7zip rather than winrar.

I deleted the extras folder and used 7-zip and I am still getting the 3 shown as missing. The files came from Emule. Any other suggestions?

I went to the 2 games, right clicked and went to extras, told GameBase where to find the files that weren't verifying, and they verified. Hooray!!!

I have the same problem, but I fixed it renaming the zip's (look verify.txt for correct names). In some the vocals with ä and ü are changed as _, in other is ß the letter changed.

Yeah that's what I did, just manually edit the file names with the missing characters.
