Please help a virgin

hello,
i'm a bit out of my depth :oops: . i wish to download and play commodore 64 games on my pc but have no idea how to go about it.
could someone give me a quick rundown of what i need to install and how to run it.
much appreciated :)

All you need is an emulator and the image of the game you want to play.

The emulators we recommend are VICE and CCS64, game images can be downloaded from our page.

Now you just have to read the manual of the emulator you decide to use...

i had a look at vice but i have no idea which bit(s) to download. could you please do a step by step guide. i'm sure its simple but i'm not familiar with any of the terms.

You'll need to ask the VICE or CCS64 people, but they won't want to help you if you are unwilling to read the documentation provided on their web site first.

Maybe you should take a look at the Help section on

Wow! You are seriously lacking in web browser skills! Try the GBC tab above, then find a game by letter or name. The download links are on each individual game's page.

1) Install WinVICE
2) Download a game from this site
3) From the WinVICE menu, point to the game and double-click the game you want to start it
4) Do not confuse this with brain surgery
