an update from me...

Mon Nov 08, 2010 7:58 am

Hi all,

Sorry I've been a bit quiet lately. I've been busy with work and preparing for a 2nd baby to come along in a few weeks.

I've been meaning to finish the online gamebase documentation at http://www.bu22.com/wiki (any takers?), and this is the only thing really stopping me announcing the public release of v1.3 (which I'll soon upload to sourceforge along with the sourcecode).

Also, I've been waiting to move to a new server for the bu22.com website, which could take a month or two, but I haven't forgotten the new site, and hopefully it will go live soon (it's 90% finished).

I can't promise much will happen next year with the frontend regarding working on v1.4, since I barely get enough time with 1 child, let alone two :) You never know tho; I might get the odd evening to knock some new features out.

Thanks for all your support over the years!

Hi James,

Glad to hear from you (to be honest I was getting to be a bit worried if everything is well with you). But this is great news! I know that family stuff takes a lot of your free time and always comes on the first place. I'm a father of 5 boys, the youngest are twins!
So take your time with the release of the new frontend and website, but still I'm very curious how it's going to look like.
Keep us updated, both about the frontend and the baby!

Another update from me:

Website moved to new server - now I just have to finish it (still 90% done).

GB v1.3 released (as you can see in the other thread).

Lastly, we had our baby girl, Anya Lucina, at 2:17 on Christmas morning, weighing 7lb 13oz. :)

Now with 2 children, I hope I'll still get at least a *little* GB stuff done this year, but I doubt it will be a lot!

atb.

Thanks! Although I can't imagine having 2 is anywhere near as hard as having 5 (with twins also)! :)
