2 Bugs in GB (v1.3)

Tue Sep 14, 2010 7:50 pm

Hi Jimbo & Co,

I've found 2 "Bugs" in the GB. (using GB64 v7)
Don't know, if this is only in v1.3 (but i think not....)

BUG 1 :
on the table "Game length" it's allways block(s) , although disk(s) is selected.....
Image

BUG 2 :
The sequence is false, while sorting them descending or ascending...
After 12 blocks it should be 13 blocks...not 120 etc...

Don't know, if you allready know this, but i couldn't find a post/thread here....

That second one is not a flaw in Gamebase, it's a flaw in any ASCII search...

Yep, thought so too....
Is there an easy way to "batch-rename" them in i.e. 012 Blocks, 009 Blocks, etc ?
I don't want to make this manually

yes that can be easy be done.
i have already.

there are a few errors in the v_type.

example
Rockus - The Game = 646 disks.
this might fix the other sort problem you have.

fixed all those as well.

i will upload it to you, when i get home tonight.

the extra zer0's get deleted automatically when pasted into the v_length column.

a lazy way round this would be to convert the V_Length column like the hi-score one. where it accepts anything (inc letters) entered into it.
but it would lose the display /search.

maybe Jimbo can code it to sort that column in numeric order instead of by character code.

also your right about the V_LengthType not being shown correctly.
after verify, all games length reset to show as blocks only.

here is my lazy fix for you to see.

the media type can be swapped round with quantity,
so it will sort the list by Blocks, Disks, Tapes.
Blocks 001
Blocks 002
Disks 001
Disks 002
Tapes 001
Tapes 002
