Any news on a update, using the new gamebase 1.3 features?

it is a great gamebase !
I'm sure fellow Amigans will keep his work going and update it in his honor. As someone of age (49) I can appreciate the great loss a partner is, I'd be devastated if I lost my wife and like him would have lost all interest in these sorts of things. Here's hoping that the time has mellowed his heartache.

If there's any on here who personally know him I'd appreciate if you could let us know if he's Ok?

I can't imagine he will ever come to terms with it but I can only hope time will carry on healing.

I sent him a message at the end of last year, and he did say he planned to release one more version this year.

That's good to hear Mark, even if he only does one more update I think it's the right thing to do mentally...

Quick question - does GameBase Amiga include SEUCK games?

I've just updated the SEUCK Vault - www.seuckvault.co.uk - with help from Ricky DeRocher, and am trying to track down more Amiga SEUCKs (in particular the third Raid game by Andrew "Fez" Fereday)

No, only commercial games.

You can grab it from the usual place http://gbamiga.elowar.com
Cool! This is something new I wanna get into.

Just to check: Is all that up to date and all? Is there anything else I need from somewhere?

Thanks! :)

(I especially wanna play like Pool of Radiance and Mercenary and Agony and fool around with the GUI and demos and stuff hehehehe)

Sorry for posting in this old Thread, but i dont get access to the gbamiga-elowar-site (403 - Forbidden)

Has the site been moved, or is there any other source where i can get the v1.6 files? Need only the .mdb-File, the rest i can setup manually.

You can get the mdb here. Or you can get the complete gamebase here.

Does anyone know of a current source of the GameBase Amiga v1.6 setup files, since the site appears to be unavailable at http://gbamiga.elowar.com ?

I have the rest of the Gamebase from UG, and was hoping to avoid another large download.

What do you have, what do you need? I could build a package.

What I have is this package from Underground Gamer http://www.underground-gamer.com/details.php?id=30640
It is missing WinUAE, which I already obtained & the setup file from Elowars site which according to a web archive I found is only about 4.1 MB

The package I have contains a text file describing how to set it up (gamebase.v1.6.txt), the kickstarts, Extras, Games, Music & Screenshots folders.

The rest of the normal Gamebase setup files must be part of the 4.1 MB setup file I can't find.

I did send Elowar a PM over at http://eab.abime.net/index.php asking about his site, but haven't heard back yet.

I did manage to get in touch with Elowar. He said "The site is down due to a recent server re-install." He was kind enough to post the installer for me at http://eab.abime.net/zone.php? and said it should be available there for 21 days.
You do need to join the group to have access, but at least it is available again.

For those that wanted the Gamebase Amiga V1.6 Setup installer (Appprox 4mb), I recently uploaded it here for someone else to grab it http://www.multiupload.com/NPEGH2YQD0
