A tiny Gamebase of the unspeakable Phillips CD-i based on most representative-working-.chd games.
Far from being complete, a starting point for bigger projects... Or a final point, you decide... :D

No games included, you can donwload them from here. https://archive.org/details/MESS_0.149_CHD_cdi

MESS with .chd games. You are right, most of them doesn' t work. That's why I haven't gone further with it.
But the fifty in this gamebase works and are playable. Better than nothing. Just an ilustrative token of this weird system.

i think to have all games, but they are ISO/CUE, so with mess don't work. With MAME ok, but i see that you have the script for mame 1.95. What you intend?
Mame 0.195 32bit or 64bit?

i'm trying with mame 0.198 64bit and works. Now i have to see the game compatibility

Hey Seiya, I see you made Macintosh 68k gamebase. Is it too heavy? Any chance to upload it?
Thanks.

in the past i have already released Macintosh 68k, but now i think is dead release. maybe you can try to search if there is someone in seed.
My new release is much bigger with many ISO game.
Now ..i think how to proceed because i have separate in due different gamebase "Games" and "Educational & Multimedia".
I don't know if merge in one gamebase or two different. However there is more game to add. Some floppy games require swap of disc, but from emulator i don't know if possible or how can do it. So i search some alternative e more games to add.

I think it's much better to keep the games on another gamebase, especially if it's too big. Just my opinion. What size are we talking about?

for now, mac 68k (e some PPC games) are 75 GB
Apps, Educational and Multimedia= 44,5 GB

But there so much games yet to add. For now i have not much time. but i think to release again this Mac 68k in 2.0 version.

returning on philips cdi, the games that now work are DVC games that have mpeg video. Mess don't support this features, Mame i don't know.
When these emulators will support mpeg video alls philips cdi games will run very well..
