Update databse to 2.8 error

Tue Dec 23, 2014 6:19 pm

Can anyone help me.

I've got a copy of Gamebase Commodore Plus 4 but when I try to open it gamebase tells me it needs to be updated to 2.8 version.

This is no surprise as a couple pf other databases had to do this but with this one I keep getting an error.

[Cannot define field more than once. (3191,0)]

Does anyone know how to cure this. I have Googled it and there is some talk about a DLL file issue.

Or does anyone have a version that works that they would be so kind as to share.

That Plus Four Gamebase was made using GameBase v1.2.
This works for all old Gamebases.

IMPORTANT
* uninstall GameBase v1.2 or any beta version of v1.3
* install GameBase v1.3 Final

You must use the v1.3 final version of GameBase Toolbox.
open the tool box and select the Plus Four MDB file from the window.

using right mouse button select...

Scan and Fix Errors

close the tool box.

open and run the GameBase as normal.
It should fix and update itself for V1.3.

if not, you may have a corrupt file.
This version has beed updated and fixed...

Cheers for that .mad.

Although I thought I had the 1.3 final version. Maybe it is a corrupt file.

Thanks for the link.
