Gamebase Oric V2.0

Wed Nov 20, 2013 7:14 pm

Currently being uploaded to Rapidshare... Watch this space!!!

My upload speeds are slow so the file may take a while to be available. The game count is 1373, I decided to release this early due to my frustration with the book "Meteoric Programming for the Oric-1". This book has nearly 30 games listed, but NONE work correctly. I have de-bugged some of the games and added them to the Gamebase, but some were so badly bugged I gave it up as a bad job. If I had bought this book back in the 80's I would have been disgusted, not had any problems like this with any other listing book.

Nevermind, rant over!!!

I will post the link to the new V2 Gamebase as soon as the upload is completed :D

Do you have a digital/scanned copy of the book?

I am just wondering if it is hard to read or just poorly written/untested as either could be the case.

Hi Hidron, the book is a very legible, printed copy that was clearly untested before it was published. There are Syntax errors, missing characters etc from all listings. Some errors are obvious, some not so.

Not an issue though, upload is at 94% so not to worry!!

Could you use a different file host Tubbs? My download is showing as 2.5 days as an unregistered rapidshare user.

I had no idea Rapidshare was so slow. I rarely use file sharing sites but have no choice now we have lost UG. I will try to find a better one tonight.

4shared is the best for me. With SendSpace you can't DL more than one file at once!

A torrent file will be great too !

Just register with rapidshare (FREE account).
use a hotmail address if you like.

downloaded first 100mb at full speed, then 48kbs for rest of file.

it's worth the wait.

But you will have been able to download it by now.

I have no idea how long it took since I just let it download while I slept last night, but I did go ahead and sign up for the free account to make it a little faster.

Thanks for the update. I will try to take a look at it this weekend.
