Hi sjakie43,
the WHDLoad demos doesn't work with the latest WinUAE 3.1.0 ... i had to use an older one (2.6.1) to make them work.

It's weird because WHDLoad games from Gamebase Amiga works with the 3.1.0 ... dunno if there's a problem in the script or in Gemus Fields

Just tried WINUAE 3.1.0 with a WHD demo, and it worked ok for me.

All i did was change the paths in the emulators.ini from "2410" to "3100".

Did you update the "winuae.ini" file in the demobase setup to version 3100?. Without it the settings are stored in the registry. So it might be checking the wrong kickstart folder??.

---

If like you say your GameBase works with WHD, then all you need to do is use that emulator setup for the demobase.
change the emulators.ini in the demobase directory to your working gamebase paths.

>>>Example<<<

[Emulators]
1=WinUAE v3.1.0
2=
[WinUAE v3.1.0]
UseShortFilenames=0
UseDefaultTypes=0
SupportedTypes=adf;adz;dms;fdi;ipf;hdf;exe;iso;cue;ccd;mds;zip
EmulatorPathFile=c:\Gamebase\Amiga GameBase\Emulators\WinUAE3100\winuae.exe
ScriptFile=amiga.txt
WaitFinish=1
1=c:\Gamebase\Amiga GameBase\Emulators\WinUAE3100\winuae.ini

Hi,
thanks for your returns.

Well i didnt use the winuae.ini file so i created an empty one but the error is still here with the winuae310.exe.
So I have to modify the script like this and it works :
Run_Program(%dbpath%\whdrun.exe||%gamepathfile% %gbgamepath%\whd\%gamefilenoext%/ "%emupath%\winuae261.exe" "%dbpath%\demobase.uae" "%dbpath%\WHD\s\user-startup||nowait)

This is how the error happens with the 3.1.0 exe : the emulator starts ...
WHDRun 1.0 beta 4
Running xxx.slave
and it crashes/blocks (the system but not the emulator) just before displaying the whdload registered message.
The kickstart used is ok ... the 2.04.

keep the filename "winuae.exe" and put all winuae versions in separate folders with their own "winuae.ini" file.
Or it will overwrite the ini with the version used every time you run it.

Did you scan the kickstart folder from winuae3100, so it saved the paths in the NEW winuae.ini file?

winuae.ini (just an example)

also because you ran several versions of WinUAE without the INI file, i **think** your registry might be reading paths to OLD and NEW versions, confusing the Demobase.

it's worth a look here...

I understand what you mean but the problem happens only if i use one version of WinUAE : the 3.1.0 ... i didnt use any older version before.
Why do i have to use different versions of WinUAE ? For the moment i do cause of WHD demos and it works (no pb of winuae.ini).
