Hiya all,

I'm happy to release the next version of the Gamebase V0.04.

Changes:

Integration of the Yape emulator V0.63, which works brilliantly with the Gamebase software. It now runs all the programs without having to start them in the monitor or using a SYS command.

Cover shots of majority of the software, increasing the images to a huge 1251.

All image files are now optimised, but still need a little bit more work.

The size of the game base has increased dramatically to 35 meg though, but I hope you think its worth it.

To download goto http://www.commodore16.com/gamebase.htm

Now we have a proper release, is there any chance of having our own 264 Gamebase section, as we are the C64's little brother?

Please let me have your comments

Chris

You can download it from www.commodore16.com

Plenty of C16 games to get your teeth into :)

I will be updating the project. Its just takes a bit of time, especially with family commitments. Nice to see there is still interest out there :)

i am also working on a Plus4 Gamebase.
which has 3081 games linked so far.

it just needs the cassette cover inlays G-Z adding to the extras.
and a few more programmers names i am not sure about.

Fri Apr 04, 2008 3:47 pm

here is a very early beta version of the work so far.

the following archive contains the database and screen shots only.
http://www.zshare.net/download/10045426b2bad42e/

you will have to set the gamebase up, and create the paths yourself.

But i intend to upload all the games for it this weekend. 8)
approx 120meg.

keep watching this space.

Has this gamebase been replaced by a newer version? Or has it been merged with another gamebase? Just wondering since I'm going through all my gamebases and setting them up on my new Windows 7 machine.

oknihcap: from my experiences with both of these Gamebase's...

The newest one I found was "Gamebase C264 v5", but mostly I used "GameBase Plus4 by .mad. V0.1".

Comparision: C264 contains approx. 400 of games, mad's edition contains more than 3.000 (incl. games for C-116 & +4)

Nothing against creator of "Gamebase C264" ofcourse.
I love Gamebase's creators and compilations

That's interesting. The version I found recently when trying to figure out if had the latest version was "Gamebase264V0.6.exe". But the credits.txt version still says "Gamebase Commodore 16/Plus 4 Version 0.05 (21st September 2005).

Sorry for posting on a old thread, but I've only just seen the replys from last year. To confirm the Gamebase C16/Plus 4 which is hosted on commodore16.com is based on commercially released games and not all the scene based conversions etc.

On a positive not I'm planning on updating the original in te next couple of months. I'll highlight it's just the commercial games.
