now i have 2402 entries and 2041 extras...

BTW is somebody working on the GameBase frontend, i mean the main program ???
I'd like to have support for videos, like in Hyperspin...

I've created Gamebase Mini repository for the most popular computers/consoles.

Code: Select all

gamebase.pl
It contains complete 19 of Gamebase compilations except games (ONLY favourites available). You can call it "Portable Gamebase", which in fact IS NOT, but almost... almost ;). After execute 1 batch and 1 PC's restart, everything will be working without any manual configuration. Manuals & automations inside.

"Gamebase_core.exe" was updated:
---------------------------------------
PLEASURE MODE vs RETRO MODE:
---------------------------------------

There are 3 modes that are selectable via batch 'Gamebase\_run.bat':

1. HI-PC PLEASURE MODE
2. HI-PC RETRO MODE
3. LO-PC RETRO MODE.

Description of above:

HI-PC PLEASURE MODE
If You want to play games with nice graphics, don't want long loading times and hate to hear loading sounds, select this mode. It needs fast CPU and graphics card. It supports WINDOW, FULL SCREEN & FULL SCREEN with joypad of X1/X360 - selectable via batch.

HI-PC RETRO MODE
This mode is definitelly for puritans. Settings for this mode:
- original display mode (no graphic filters, like Scale2x for example), which may produce pixelosis on screen. Wanna see graphics of games as close to original as possible?
- original loading speed of tape/disk (if emulator supports). Do You remember when You was a kid and wait and wait, and... want to wait again for game to be loaded?
- sound of loading game from tape/disk (if emulator supports). Wanna hear drive clicking or tape loading noises again?
If You answered YES at least once, then HI-PC RETRO MODE is definitelly for You!
It supports WINDOW, FULL SCREEN & FULL SCREEN with joypad of X1/X360 - selectable via batch.

LO-PC RETRO MODE
This is for Intel Atom processors like netbooks, Intel Compute Sticks and similar. Comparing to HI-PC RETRO MODE it uses less CPU/graphics power because some of features was disabled by default (for speed) and it's less compatible than previous. Select this mode only if You use Intel Atom processors.
It supports only WINDOW MODE at start, no automatic FULL SCREEN. You don't have to do manual selection, it is done automatically if You choose this mode.

I've made changes, then all MINI compilations reuploaded again. Most of changes was in main file to improve managing configurations, automation and the division into modes RETRO/PLEASURE, WINDOW/FULL SCREEN/FULL SCREEN with X1/X360 joypads. Every aspect of automation will perform regardless of level of system security with Windows 7/8/8.1/10. File: Gamebase_core.exe

Optimized LO-PC RETRO TV mode on all MINI compilations to be 100% compatible with 1080p TV's. Set optimal aspect ratio with no stretch and almost the same window sizes for all platforms, including full screen as default display mode. Also created patches for all compilations, that use Fusion & Steem emulators to be 100% compatible with full screen mode on Windows 8.1 - activated automatically in real time if You use Win' 8.1. Thats it for now ;)

A "little" changes in 'Gamebase_core.exe', which automates configurations all of the GB compilations & emulators for all control modes (keyboard, joypad) and display (window / full screen / TV mode). Since today I will not post information about changes in this 'core' file, because sometimes I update GB several times per day. And not always it's like "something was improved and it f*** up other things that MUST be fixed". If You interrested of new improvements/optimizations just compare date of this file with the same file on gamebase.pl. In contrast to Windows updates, any new 'Gamebase_core.exe' updates certainly don't damage operating system or any part of Gamebase.

Yo

This is current version of Nintendo Wii:
Image

It contains ONLY the best games of optical disks (also 5 of Gamecube). WiiWare games are missing and the best also be added to the compilation. The current version supports simultaneous mode. Playable with keyboard, X1/X360 pads or Wiimote/Nunchuck controllers - incl. playing two people simultaneously. I finish in between a month. Yo :P

Games count increased to 49, including WiiWare :)
