patience if you please.
the main Gamebase is now more or less finished.
the script just has a small bug to fix first.

it should get it's FIRST complete-ish release this week.
and it should just be under 100meg. (rapidshare fans).

the other downloads were just somthing to play with,
while you were waiting....

the covers will be needed for when we add them as extras later.

Beta Release

Fri Aug 08, 2008 4:15 pm

At long last here is the BETA release of the MSX1 Gamebase.

http://rapidshare.de/files/40189295/MSX1-v0.8b.rar.html

you will need to download a emulator.
and set the paths as follows.
Gamebase/MSX1/Emulator/BlueMSX/BlueMSX.exe

BlueMSX Emulator
http://www.bluemsx.com/rel_download/blueMSXv28full.zip

We know this verson needs a bit more work doing on it.
and we are on the case.
but all updates should be in the MDB file and EXTRAS.
All the game files should stay the same for all Updates.
so don't miss out.

please let us know of any corrections.

Just to add I'm using Bluemsx 2.8 and the only directly referenced files in Bluemsx.txt are actually in the dirs as needed (unless I've missed other references?

bluemsx.ini
the keyboad default file
The Spanish machine config.

All correct.

I presume the error comes from the bluemsx.txt emulator script file?

where exactly do you have your emulator?
bluemsx.exe

i have just uninstalled BlueMSX,
and set up the Gamebase again without any error. :?

i can only suggest restoring the emulator.ini file to it's original state and putting the emulator in the following DIR
and see if it works for you.

C:\Program Files\GameBase\MSX1\Emulator\blueMSX\blueMSX.exe

mmm

Fri Aug 08, 2008 8:06 pm

i agree i have tested it completly from fresh and it works using the latest version of bluemsx.

Paul i have emailed you a newer gemus script that isnt dependant on gemus script files. Let me know if this works any better. For this version it is best to keep in the directory .MAD mentioned.

updated gemus file

Sat Aug 09, 2008 8:42 am

thanks for the quick feedback Paul.

As the new gemus file worked for Paul. I have uploaded it for anyone else who has problems.

Copy it to your gamebase\msx1\scripts\ folder

There are 2 changes within the file.

1) it now defaults bluemsx to the location of the cassette or dsk files for inserting the next disk when prompted.

2) there is no need for changing 4 paths for the gemus script files. I have hard coded them using %emupath% variable.

Updated Gemus script
Please use update 1

Gamebase Gemus update

Thu Aug 21, 2008 5:53 pm

We have discovered a bug within the controller setup for Gemus. It appears to only effect some XP machines which stops the controller from been setup correctly. If you have this issue please use the update below:

Some Extras

Tue Aug 26, 2008 6:03 pm

The covers/extras done so far.
i decided to upload now, before the size gets too big.

These are almost all spanish tape versions.
http://rapidshare.de/files/40279917/Covers.7z.html
(delete the old MDB file from this archive)

Download these two files as well,
Deus EX Machina Audio files (approx 40meg)
http://cintasmsx.iespana.es/D/Deus%20ex ... ra%20A.ogg
http://cintasmsx.iespana.es/D/Deus%20ex ... ra%20B.ogg
and copy them to the Covers\Tapes\D\ DIR

The following files are not missing they just need to be Renamed.

Covers\TAPES\C\Carr 2000 (Juegue con su MSX nº1) - cubierta.jpg (Juegue con su MSX nº1)
Covers\TAPES\D\Dr Jackle & Mr Wide - instrucciones.txt (Jackle & Wide)
Covers\TAPES\J\Jet Set Willy II - Codes 2.jpg (Jet Set willy II)
Covers\TAPES\L\Light Corridor, The - manual.pdf (The light corridor)

Finally the updated MDB file with the Extras Linked.

Sorry it's a bit messy.
i will clean it up for the next update. :)
