The forum phpBB version is not compatible with the server PHP anymore and a data migration to the latest version would cause a hell lot of work.

The play button is usually greyed out when either emulator or game file are not found. Please verify that the paths are set correctly.

It's a Win 8.1 problem.
Whatever folder you install Gamebase in, it only works if you start GameBase.exe as Administrator.
All Windows versions up to Windows 8 don't have this problem.

I've tried the newest version of ccs64 (v3.9 though it says 3.8 ) Doesn't even boot even NTSC.

I tried vice but often crashes anywhere and no character can be created.
Use the GameBase64 version. ...

The number of new games is roughly 600 plus an additional 300 games that have been updated - 500 is just the number of additional database entries.

Ooops, maybe I wasn't that clear!
